Boy Scouts

Scouting uses a fun program to promote character development, citizenship training and personal fitness for every member. Any boy can be a Boy Scout if he has completed the fifth grade, or is eleven years old, or earned the Arrow of Light Award, but is younger than 18 years of age. Meetings are held Monday evenings in the Parish Center.

   
Cub Scouts

All boys are invited to join the fun and adventure of Cub Scouting with Pack #59. Boys can become Tiger Cubs when they are in the first grade or seven years old and boys between the ages of eight and ten can be Cub Scouts. Monthly Pack Meetings are held on the fourth Thursday. Den Meetings are weekly and times vary according to age.

   
Girl Scouts

Girl Scouts is a diverse organization open to all girls from kindergarten through High School. Adult volunteers are also active in the Girl Scout movement. Interested adults and girls are asked to call the Girl Scout Parish organizer for more information. Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana (GCNWI), our regionally-located Gathering Place is in Lisle and covers many of the near western suburbs, which includes St. Barbara Parish.

   
Venture Crew

Venture Crew 1 is a division of the Boy Scouts of America for males and females aged 14-20. Our crew enjoys a variety of activities like kayaking, curling, cross-country skiing and camping.

   
Alcoholics Anonymous

AA meets on Tuesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Rectory Clubroom and on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m. at the Parish Center. AA is a recovery program for recovering alcoholics.

   
Al-Anon Al-Anon meets on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. in the Rectory Clubroom. Al-Anon is a recovery program offering strength and fope for friends and families of problem drinkers.
