Arrangements for the reception of this sacrament are to be made in advance at the Parish Office. The Baptismal Preparation Ministry welcomes parents and families of newborns into the parish community and assists them in preparing for the Sacrament of Baptism by acquainting them with the structure and meaning of the rite, and helps to revitalize the faith of parents as primary educators of their children. Parents and Godparents are required to attend a special class before the Baptism of their child. Arrangements for the reception of the sacrament of Baptism should be made in advance at the Parish Office, 708-485-2900.

Penance-Sacrament of Reconciliation
Confessions are heard on Saturdays from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. If this time is not convenient, please call the Parish Office at 708-485-2900 to arrange for a more convenient time.

Eucharist - First Holy Communion
This is the most holy Sacrament of the Church and its celebration requires adequate preparation. Children receive their first Holy Communion in the second grade where they are prepared through their regular classes at St. Barbara Religious Education Program. Two year preparation for First Communion is required. Contact the Coordinator of Religious Education.

Confirmation
Confirmation is the Sacrament in which a Christian recommits himself/herself to the promises made for him/her at Baptism. Our students are prepared to receive this Sacrament during their 8th grade at St. Barbara Religious Education Program. Two year preparation for Confirmation is required. Contact the Coordinator of Religious Education.

Adult Confirmation
Adults who have not been confirmed should contact the Coordinator of Religious Education for instructions.

Sacrament of Marriage
This is the Sacrament by which the Church joyfully joins a couple in celebrating the gift of love. The couple is asked to contact the priest or deacon at least six months in advance of their wedding date. To prepare for their new life together, they must participate in a marriage preparation program. Contact the Parish office at 708-485-2900 for more information.

Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick
The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick emphasizes the healing power of Christ. Therefore, the sick, those weak from old age, and those facing surgery are encouraged to receive this anointing. Please call the Parish Office at 708-485-2900 to make arrangements.
