Get Involved In Service to the Needy...

Food Pantry
The Food Pantry is a distribution center for emergency and supplemental food, clothing and supplies for those in need. The food pantry is located at 9300 West 47th Street, Unit #1W. The hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Mondays. Donations are always welcome.

Medical Equipment Lending Closet
Medical equipment is available for those in need: wheelchairs, walkers, etc. through the Food Pantry Lending Closet which is located at the Parish Office basement.

Ministers of Care
Mandated parishioners visit and bring the Eucharist to the homebound and to those in nursing homes and hospitals, offering prayer, compassion and understanding. The elderly, sick and homebound parishioners are asked to pray for specific needs of the parish.

Bereavement Ministry
Members of this ministry provide supportive presence and traditional support to the bereaved. Assistance is given in planning the Vigil and Funeral Liturgy. Contact the Parish office at 708-485-2900.

Beds Plus
Beds Plus provides a safe, warm place for the homeless to sleep and to get a warm meal. St. Barbara hosts this group on Fridays.

Missionary Spirit
This group of parish volunteers answers the call to be a missionary through works of charity locally and beyond. Current activities are always posted in the parish bulletin. Anyone of any age can volunteer. To contact by email: missionaryspirit@stbarbarabrookfield.org
